Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Student will get to know hydraulic, mechanical and other physical manifestations of a rock. Student will be able to analyse a rock for various engineering purposes.

Summary

Students will be introduced to the essential parameters of the rock that drive their physical manifestation during the geophysical or laboratory research. Models used for rock interpretation are the intrinsic part of a modern petroleum production.

Mandatory attendence participation: Attendance of 70% of seminars during the semester and completion of 100% of required tasks.

Conditions for subject completion and attendance at the exercises within ISP: Student will gain seminar credit by completing given tasks according to specifications given by the lecturer. The assignment has to be completed before the start of the exam period. Attendance on seminars isn't compulsory. Student will be preparing for the exam individually by studying materials given by the lecturer. The exam has to be attended in person on a regular exam term given by the lecturer.
