Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the course is to deepen students' knowledge of geological disciplines with the possibility of subsequent implementation of geomontaneous activities organized in the future. As the Czech Republic has great prerequisites for the development of this form of tourism, it is also necessary to expand this offer.

Summary

Students in the course will be able to use the acquired knowledge of geosciences for the preparation of various forms of geotourism events. The course focuses not only on the selection of domestic but also foreign localities that will attract their geological uniqueness. Nowadays, the attention of tourists is paid to areas with volcanic activity, areas with glaciers or karst phenomena. Geological processes, phenomena and formations, which have not been paid so much attention in the past, can complement and expand this offer in tourism in the future thanks to the students of this field.
