Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the five-day Excursion after geotourism and industrial monuments is to show students examples of selected geotourism and industrial monuments in the Czech Republic. The aim of this excursion is to expand students' knowledge of practical knowledge from the field and enable them to apply the acquired knowledge in practice. After completing this excursion, students will have a comprehensive idea of the selected location and will be able to choose from the point of view of tourism those locations that have the greatest tourist potential.

Summary

An excursion after geotourism and industrial monuments is a five-day field exercise, in which students expand their knowledge of practical knowledge of the field, and, conversely, can apply the theoretical knowledge acquired in practice. Completing this excursion will help students in organizing an event of a similar nature. They can then use the acquired experience and information in their diploma thesis or future employment.

Subject syllabus:

The focus of the five-day excursion, which takes place during the semester, is focused on tourist attractions in the Czech Republic in a predetermined region. During the preparation of the excursion, special emphasis is paid to geological, natural, cultural and industrial monuments located around of the excursion place. The presentation of the visited localities will be an example not only of geological, natural, cultural or technical aspects of the selected monument, but also the possibilities of its use in specially or classically oriented tourism will be presented.
