Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the subject is to teach students to work with information about selected localities with underground spaces in the Czech Republic. This knowledge brings very valuable geoscience information, which is the subject of study in the field of geoscience and industrial tourism and which the graduate can use in his geotouric practice. The student will learn to work in such a way that if he encounters a certain type of underground in his tourist practice, he will be able to use the principle of analogy of information obtained in the subject. The newly visited place can characterize and present on the basis of analogous information from the discussed localities in the Czech Republic.

Summary

Students will be acquainted with the characteristics and classification of underground spaces, first at the municipal level and then at the level of application of specific interesting localities in the Czech Republic. The first part of the subject introduces students to the classification and typology of underground spaces. They will also teach students to recognize and describe different types of anthropogenic or natural underground spaces. It also introduces graduates to basic organizations in the Czech Republic. The largest part of the course is devoted to specific examples of the underground of the Czech Republic, with students gradually getting acquainted with these localities in individual regional parts of the Czech Republic.
