Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The student will learn how to classify the basic types of organizational structures in the subject Mine Workings and Technologies and how to identify their strengths and weaknesses. The aim is to define and reproduce facts, to interpret acquired pieces of information in new situations and to compare them.
Subsequently, the students will learn how to analyse information, connect pieces of information, order information according to importance and use it in experiments and synthesis with a view to definite recommendations.

Summary
The course introduces students to basic concepts of underground mining
Bearings geomechanics, dredging, excavation of mines providing opening,
preparing deposits, terms of mining, mining methods, disposal of extracted
spaces, prognosis and prevention - in the fields of paranormal phenomena - mine tremors,
outbursts of coal and gas fires in underground mining near aquifers
horizons. Basic concepts of quarry mining, opening, mining survey,
transport and foundation engineering and technology in relation to worker safety
and property. Remediation and reclamation of areas affected by mining activities.
