Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The student will learn how to classify the basic types of organizational structures in the subject Mine Workings and Technologies and how to identify their strengths and weaknesses. The aim is to define and reproduce facts, to interpret acquired pieces of information in new situations and to compare them.
Subsequently, the students will learn how to analyse information, connect pieces of information, order information according to importance and use it in experiments and synthesis with a view to definite recommendations.

The course introduces students to basic concepts of underground mining
Bearings geomechanics, dredging, excavation of mines providing opening,
preparing deposits, terms of mining, mining methods, disposal of extracted
spaces, prognosis and prevention - in the fields of paranormal phenomena - mine tremors,
outbursts of coal and gas fires in underground mining near aquifers
horizons. Basic concepts of quarry mining, opening, mining survey,
transport and foundation engineering and technology in relation to worker safety
and property. Remediation and reclamation of areas affected by mining activities.

Subject syllabus:
1st Fundamentals of geomechanics, physical and mechanical properties of rock mechanics
mountain range.
2nd Legal rules and regulations binding to mining.
3rd Basic concepts of deep mining of - opening, training, technology
excavation and dredging.
4th Mining - mining methods and technology.
5th The specifics of mining safety.
6th Anomalous conditions in the underground mining of - shock, the outbursts,
inrushes
water, large depth.
7th Solution of anomalous conditions in terms of safety, prognosis, prevention.
8th Principles of extraction of quarry.
9th Systems of opening, the basic technology mining, transport and establishment.
10th Technical Security quarry mining in difficult conditions.
11th Methods of reclamation and remediation for mining fracture.
12th Introduction to ventilation and safety in underground and quarry operations.
13th Fire prevention, fire recovery operations in mines and quarries - specifics.
14th The general characteristics of the safety measures in mining of,
