Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The student will learn how to classify the basic types of organizational structures in the subject Mining of Deposits of Mineral Raw Materials and how to identify their strengths and weaknesses. The aim is to define and reproduce facts, to interpret acquired pieces of information in new situations and to compare them. Subsequently, the students will learn how to analyse information, connect pieces of information, order information according to importance and use it in experiments and synthesis with a view to definite recommendations.

Summary

The students will gain the knowledge of the means of opening, preparation and excavation of raw materials deposits, either in deep or in open cast mines. The basic processes of mining, transport and stocking and dumping of materials, including packing of mined spaces, are discussed, as well as the means of mechanization a technological complexes. Other focal points are mine ventilation and reclamation of land and waters.

Subject syllabus:

Posluchači budou seznámeni se způsoby otvírek, příprav a vlastního dobývání ložisek nerostných surovin při hlubinném a lomovém způsobu jejich exploatace. Seznámí se se základními procesy dobývání, dopravy a zakládání hmot a vytěžených prostorů, způsoby mechanizace a technologických zařízení vč. pomocné mechanizace, v důlních podmínkách se způsoby větrání otevřených prostorů. V závěru předmětu bude věnována část zahlazování následků hornické činnosti na krajinné prostředí.
