Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with basic principles of mining works mining, basic principles of mining and reinforcing of mine works. The students are also acquainted with the problems of blasting works in the mines, including the basic safety issues during their execution according to the valid regulations for this area. It keeps up with the current trends in the given issue, with a great emphasis on the use of modern technology in compliance with current legislation.

Subject syllabus:

1. Basic parameters of mines and tunneling operations cycle. 2. Reinforced construction of underground works. Reinforced frame, flat, bolt and combined. 3. Technology of reinforcement of frame and flat reinforcements. 4. Organization of work on drivage and shaft sinking 5. Fundamentals of mining of large-scale mine works of mining and underground construction. 6. Overview of continuous methods of drivage and shaft sinking. 7. Systematic methods of shaft sinking. The technology of shaft sinking and vertical stamping of vertical works. 8. Blasting techniques and blasting techniques. 9. Safety and hygiene of work. 10. Explosive regulations. 11. Storage, transport, storage and recording of explosives 12. Execution of blasting works. 13. Ventilation and protection against coal dust and the Technology of blasting works - gaseous mines
