Summary

The goal of the subject is to make students acquainted with the present trends in the mineral policies of the Czech Republic and the world as regards the surface mining. Attention is paid to the methods of the development and exploitation of coal and ore deposits, deposits of construction raw aterials, machinery and technologies used in the processes of mining, transport and backfilling, underwater mining, block mining of raw materials, surface mine drainage, accompanying processes, and last but not least, to removing the impacts of surface mining upon the landscape environment.

Subject syllabus:

The issue of underground coal mining and quarry, construction, silicate deposits, etc.. 2nd Basic concepts of fracture and deep-mining deposits. 3rd Systems quarry and mining division of production process clears. 4th Cyclically operating excavators and equipment for quarries. 5th Continuous technology quarry operations. 6th Mining coherent and cohesive mineral resources for industrial production. 7th Mechanization of the founding works on dumps and tips. 8th For opening of the bearing surface and the floor. 9th Methods of preparation of deposits for underground mining. 10th Breakdown of the mining methods of coal mines. 11th Technological devices at the coalface. 12th Characteristics of ore mining and non-ore deposits. 13th Ventilation in underground mines. 14th Rehabilitation activities in underground mining and extraction of fracture and reclamation
