Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of this subject demonstrates knowledge: general PC use, basic software for common tasks relating to document authoring, apply theoretical foundations in practice, set up basic user parameters when using software.

Summary
The course builds on the basics of computer technology, the operation of computers and networking. Within this course, students learn to work with software applications that are used at the Institute of Mining Engineering and Safety, in general use, in practice and in scientific and research activities.
Students use computers and software of the Institute’s laboratory that were in part acquired as part of the Investment in the Development of Education project and that are installed in the Institute’s computer room to which students have access both within and outside the course in order to improve their skills.
