Summary

The subject is the one of the three volumes of the “Mining I. – III.” The mining subjects deals with a global summary of problems in the surface and deep mining. The volume II contents the mineral policies of the Czech Republic and basically in the World. Attention is focused to the machinery and technologies used in the processes of mining, transport and backfilling, underwater mining, block mining of raw materials, surface mine drainage, accompanying processes, and last but not least, to removing the impacts of surface mining upon the landscape environment.
