Aim subject is education and assumption problems primary objective environmentalism at opencast mining and practice at compliance legislature ČR.

Summary

Students are introducing with the influence of surface mining on environment. The subject describes influence of coal surface mining and mining of construction materials in quarries to the environment, influence of mining ventilation and chemical gas wastes to biosphere etc. include removing the impacts of surface mining upon the landscape environment.

Syllabus of lectures: 1st Ecology and Environment. 2nd Caring for the environment and environmental management. 3rd Consequences of changes worsening environment. 4th Main legislation tying the issue to the environment. 5th Lithosphere and its effect on mining activities. 6th Pedosphere and its effect on open pit activities. 7th Hydrosphere and its effect on open pit activities. 8th Atmosphere and its effect on open pit activities. 9th Waste management, categorization of waste repository. 10th Main sources of waste in the mining and mineral processing of building materials. 11th The importance of remediation and reclamation works for the environment. 12th Mechanization and resources for remediation and reclamation work. 13th Remedial work and techno-economic stage of reclamation in the terrain affected by surface mining of commercial minerals. 14th Bio-economic stage of the reclamation works.
