The goal of the subject is to create the ability of students to understand and interpret learned information in the fields of mining risks and mines rescue.

Summary

The subject contents the summary of risks in mining - explosion of flammable gases and coal dust, underground fires, spontaneous combustion, rock and gas outburts, etc. and the principles of the safety engineering in mining as labour safety, environmental science - mine gases, heat in mines, mine dust and health hazard, explosion protection, ignition protection etc. The part of mines rescue service contents their organization, equipment, training, legislation and activities as firefighting technologies in CZ and abroad.

The risks of mining activities and their control Risk-gas in the mine atmosphere, typical causes of unsafe conditions and their management, controlling the output of methane, mine degassing for contol, long work firedamp Centre, aerodynamics caving areas Plynodajnosti-forecast vertical and horizontal pieces and faces, methane layer -Risk of coal and rock dust, coal dust explosions, explosion mechanism, technical measures for the disposal of dust, irrigation coal seams and surrounding rock, protective measures against explosions and transmission explosions -Protection against noise and vibration The risk of improper lighting-mining sites Plynodynamické-effects - tremors, rock and gas outbursts, the conditions of formation, prognosis, active agents for the prevention Mine fires, endogenous and exogenous, their identification and control Risk-inrushes water and bahnin, conditions of, technical measures prevention of inrush -Fires in the underground, the theory of spontaneous combustion fire and mash in underground -Control of mine fires - a tactic inerting -Construction of dams, dikes and types of equipment Tactics-rescue actions in different types of accidents in underground self-rescue devices, technical rescue equipment, the use of computer technology in the field of ventilation and Mine Rescue -The latest findings from the field, the economic consequences of emergencies and emergency situations in the operation of the mine hazard, selected games, the latest information on conferences, seminars, research work at home and abroad in the ventilation and rescue exercise outline: 1.Basic factors affecting the level of occupational safety and hygiene. 2.Design of wind and safety facilities on mining maps. 3.Degassing of a mine. Development of a mine degassing program for individual conditions (according to the mine map). 4.Risk of dust as a health hazard. Protection against harmful effects of dust. 5.Risk of noise and vibration. Sources of noise. Effects of noise on human organism. Measures against the harmful effects of noise. 6.Prevention of noise pollution. Preventive inerting of cave-in areas with nitrogen gas. 7.Methods of mine fires disposal. 8.Temperature range of fire fumes, wind reversal. 9.Explosivity of fire gases, methods of calculating explosivity. Assignments and solutions semester program. 10.Extinguishing mine fires with steam gas generators, economic evaluation. 11.Irrigation, moisture measurement. 12.Types of self-rescue devices and their functions. Practical exercise with rescue apparatus. 13.Principles of first aid for the disabled, necessary aids and equipment.
