Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the course is to teach students to analyze problems in technological processes of mineral processing. On the basis of the theoretical description of treatment procedures and mineral raw material analysis, students are able to assess and design basic technologies suitable for the processing of a particular type of raw material.

Summary

The subject acquaints students with methods of processing extracted minerals, aiming to evaluate the raw material so that the resulting products can serve in other areas of human activity. The subject provides an overview of technologies used in the treatment and processing of individual types of extracted mineral resources. Within the subject, a high emphasis is placed on innovative trends and modern processes of raw materials processing, especially in terms of minimizing their impact on the environment and high efficiency. Theoretical knowledge is verified by laboratory experiments, which show the practical application of studied methods.

Machinery for crushing 6. Milling - a process using 7. Machinery for milling 8. Classification - classification, reasons for separation 9. screening area 10. Types of mechanical separators - rough grading 11. Types of mechanical screens - fine grading 12. Hydraulic and air classification - classification 13. Mechanical and hydraulic classifiers 14.
