Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students are acquainted with technological procedures for processing the various types of minerals. It is able to assess and propose simple technological schemes of extracted mineral resources.Special attention is paid to the BAT technologies in the field of raw materials.

1.Mineral resources, their characteristics and distribution, basic technological processes of preparation 2.Coal. Formation and chemical composition of coal, physical properties of coal and its use in the treatment process 3.Coal processing technology 4.Iron ores, non-ferrous and precious metals ores, their classification and characteristics 5.General principles of ore treatment schemes. The basic factors influencing the choice of ore treatment technology. 6.Technology of treatment of ores of non-ferrous metals 7.Technology for the treatment of precious metal ores 8.Industrial minerals,characteristics and classification 9.Technology of ceramic raw materials 10.Technology of aggregates 11.Technology of glass raw materials 12.Technology of inorganic binders 13.Graphite technology 14.Barite and fluorite technologies
