Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students are acquainted with technological procedures for processing the various types of minerals. It is able to assess and propose simple technological schemes of extracted mineral resources.Special attention is paid to the BAT technologies in the field of raw materials.

The course introduces students to the technology of processing of extracted minerals - coal, ores, ceramics and building materials.

1.Mineral resources, their characteristics and distribution, basic technological processes of preparation 2. Gravitational separations, theoretical foundations and applications 3. Gravitational separations, separations in heavy suspensions 4. Gravitational separations, separations on jigs, shaking tables, rafts 5. Gravitational separations in a centrifugal field 6. Separation in magnetic fields, theoretical foundations 7. Types of magnetic separators and their applications 8.Separation in electric field, theoretical basics, machines and equipment 9. Types of electrostatic separators and their applications 10. Flotation, theoretical fundamentals and applications 11. Flotation, flotation reagents and their action 12.
