The goal of the subject is to create the ability of students to understand and interpret learned information in the field of labour safety and fire protection.

Summary

The course deals with key issues in the field of occupational health and safety, occupational hygiene and fire protection. It provides a general overview of the principles of safe work and acquaints the students with legislation on health and safety at work. It explains the risks of the working environment, their effects, assessment and minimization in the working environment, including the risks of major accidents and industrial accidents. Furthermore, students obtain the necessary information from the field of fire protection, organization of fire protection units, their intervention activities, technical equipment and fire prevention.

Subject syllabus:

The course addresses core issues in health and safety, hygiene and fire protection. Provides a general overview of the principles of safe work and introduces students with the legislation governing health and safety and hygiene. It explains the risks working environment, their influence, assessing and minimizing the work environment, including risk of serious accidents and industrial accidents. Furthermore, Students receive relevant information from the field of fire protection organizations fire brigades and their intervention activities, equipment and fire prevention. 1st Primary generally binding regulations on OSH 2nd The text of the Labour Code regulating occupational health and safety 3rd Hygiene requirements for working environment, an overview of risk 4th Hygiene requirements for the composition of the atmosphere at the workplace, authorized concentrations of toxic gases in the workplace 5th The risk of aerosols without toxic effects on work related physiological risk concentration allowed 6th The risk of noise and vibration, the maximum permissible levels of noise and vibration Work Environment 7th Risk of inadequate lighting facilities, standardized values 8th Categorization of work, payment for work in difficult working environment 9th Accidents at work, sources and causes, responsibilities of employers working injuries, prevention 10th Fire protection, organization, training, equipment and activities, emergency units Fire Protection 11th Fire Prevention 1912 Flammability of materials, fire agents technical characteristics 13th Combustion products, risks, effects on the human organism. 14th Extinguishing agents, portable extinguishers
