The student demonstrates the knowledge of basic technological processes of hydrometallurgical processing of raw materials and is able to apply them to solving simple practical problems of chemical metallurgy.

Summary
The subject deals with theoretical and practical aspects of chemical processes used in the processing of mineral resources and waste. Basic hydrometallurgical processes such as thermal treatment processes, leaching of metals into solutions and methods of their recovery are discussed.

6. Technological equipment for leaching
7. Biological methods of leaching
8. Obtaining components from solution, overview of methods
9. Ion exchangers, theoretical aspects and applications
10.Extraction, theoretical aspects and applications
11.Electrolysis, theoretical aspects and applications
12.Other methods of metal recovery from solution (crystallization, cementation, hydrolysis, distillation)
13.Application of hydrometallurgy in processing of ore raw materials and waste. Basic calculations of technological schemes involving chemical reactions
