Summary

Mineral Processing is concerned with the extraction and purification of valuable commodities from the earth. The raw materials produced by mining are highly impure and must be upgraded before they are of use to society. Energy, raw materials, and the environment are some of the most serious problem areas facing the world today. Minerals processing play a key role in reducing and solving these problems.

Grinding of raw materials, theoretical foundations, machines and equipment, applications 4. Mechanical sorting and classification, theoretical foundations, machines and equipment, applications 5. Gravitational separation, theoretical foundations, machines and equipment, applications 6. Separation in magnetic and electric field, theoretical foundations, machines and equipment, applications 7. Flotation, theoretical foundations, machines and equipment, applications 8. Flotation, flotation reagents, principle of action 9. Drainage and drying, theoretical foundations, applications. 10.
