Summary
Students are introduced to the fundamental processes related to preparatory procedures used in the processing of coal, ores, industrial minerals, and waste materials. These preparatory processes focus on optimizing the granulometry of input raw materials. The processing of mineral raw materials consists of a series of processes that immediately follow the extraction and acquisition phase. It comprises three fundamental technological processes: preparatory, separation, and auxiliary processes. These processes serve to adjust the granulometry of raw materials to the required size and to enrich the extracted material, making it suitable for further use or processing.Students are introduced to the basic processes of the preparatory phase, which are used in the treatment of coal, ores, industrial minerals, and waste materials. Upon completing the course, students will understand the individual stages of preparatory processes, such as crushing, grinding, and subsequent mechanical screening or classification of mineral raw materials.
Furthermore, students will be able to distinguish between different types of machines and equipment used in this technological process, their advantages, disadvantages, and areas of application. Understanding these preparatory processes is essential, as they are directly linked to separation processes.
