Summary

The course gives an overview of technologies of treatment of individual types of ore raw materials.The individual types of ore raw materials are characterized and possible treatment technologies are described.

Subject syllabus:

Lectures: 1. Classification of ore raw materials and products of their adjustment. The aim of treatment of ores and historical development. The overview of methods of ore treatment. 2. General principles of treatment schemes ores. Basic factors affecting choice of ore treatment technology. Genetic, physical, electrochemical and chemical properties. 3. Characteristics of the technological processes of ore treatment. 3.1. Crushing and milling of ore. 2.3 Classification of ore. 3.3 Gravitational separation of ores. 3.4 floatation separation of ores, chemical treatment concentrates. 3.5 Separation magnetic and electric. 3.6. Other methods of ore separation. 3.7 Auxiliary processes in the treatment of ores. 3.8. Wastewater treatment from ore treatment process. 4. Technological schemes of ore treatment. 4.1. Modification of iron ore. 4.2 Adjustment of non-ferrous metal ores. 4.3 Treatment of ores of noble and precious metals 4.4 Treatment of uranium ore. 5. Control of technological processes of ore treatment. 6. Development trends of ore processing. Seminars: 1. Selective flotation of Cu-Zn ores from the area Zlaté Hory-East 2. Application of magnetic separation and floatation for the treatment of siderite 3. Possibilities of obtaining Sb from antimony debris 4. Utilization of bacterial leaching in decomposition of coal and pyrite ore 5. Selective flocculation of galenite and quartz
