Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Students are able to carry out a deeper theoretical analysis of sizing and sorting processes. They are familiar with the methods of mathematical modeling of sizing processes and are able to use the appropriate software equipment to design a technological scheme including its balance.

The course deepens theoretical knowledge in the field of size reduction and screening, and is dedicated in particular to methods of mathematical modeling of processes of disintegration and separation of minerals with the use of software products.

The student demonstrates knowledge of theoretical fundamentals of refinement and sorting processes, ability to model and design basic types of machinery with respect to technological requirements.
