Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The student will learn how to classify the basic types of organizational structures in the subject Deposit Mining II and how to identify their strengths and weaknesses. The aim is to define and reproduce facts, to interpret acquired pieces of information in new situations and to compare them.
Subsequently, the students will learn how to analyse information, connect pieces of information, order information according to importance and use it in experiments and synthesis with a view to definite recommendations.

Summary
The students will gain the knowledge of the contemporary trends in raw materials policy in open cast mining. The means of opening, preparation and excavation of the deposits of coal, non-metalliferous, and building raw materials are discussed, including the processes of mining, transport and
stocking and dumping of materials, packing of free spaces, mining from water and block mining are discussed, as well as the means of quarry drainage and reclamation of land and waters.
