The aim of the course is for students to be able to use knowledge of legislation and knowledge of hydrogeological laws in solving tasks in drainage of mines and quarries.

Summary

The goal of the subject is to make students acquainted with the basic information about geological hydrodynamics structures of rock mass and their classification, circulation of water in a rock mass, determination of a basic hydraulic properties of rock mass and soils. The subject is focused to the water drainage of deep mines, surface mining, quarries, tunnels, the active and passive measures of water protection, protection of geology water layers.

Subject syllabus:

1st Hydrosphere and water in the rocks. Basic concepts of groundwater hydraulics. 2nd Hydraulic characteristics of underground fluids. Physical, sensory and chemical properties of groundwater. Hydrochemical classification of groundwater. 3rd Properties and characteristics of water-bearing systems. 4th Darcy law of filtration and the basics of groundwater flow. 5th Geohydrodynamické systems with loose and tight surface. The constant flow. Hydrodynamic tests. Groundwater regime. 6th Applied hydrogeology and its tasks. HG mineral exploration hydrogeology, materials and tasks in their production. 7th Protection of groundwater quality. 8th Overview of laws and standards. 9th Hydrogeological and hydrological conditions of coal, ore and non-ore deposits CR. 10th Sources of the break groundwater and surface water, mine water. 11th Workplace protection against the inrush of water in deeper. mines and quarries. 12th Ensuring safety in the areas of aquifers, drainage. wells and barriers. 13th Sizing of drainage systems in underground mines and quarries, filters of drainage wells.
