Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the subject is to broaden students' mind about the perception of matter in a broader sense, inspire students to further develop knowledge about mechanical processes and their innovations. For the further development of process sciences, a deeper understanding of the properties change causes of the processed raw material is necessary when the raw material flows through the process equipment. Discovering the still unknown laws, but also the overall digitization of engineering and scientific work allows waveforms to describe the changes and take advantage of the innovative design of new technologies. Until the adoption of such knowledge enables application strategies of Industry 4.0 of mechanical processes throughout its depth for the development of new innovative technologies. By completing this subject, the student will gain skills to move from the classical empirical approach to methods of solution using modern scientific potential and global information databases. Student will also be able to actively participate in research in connection with the construction and operation of process equipment.

Summary

The mechanics of particulate matter is a dynamically developing field of science and research that extends into people's daily lives. The direction of human activity is the fragmentation and defragmentation of substances, while these processed particles of substance change their geometric and mechanical-physical properties. The theory of particulate matter deals with models, the actual measurement of the properties of particulate matter, as well as their use in describing the processes (pressure profiles, pressure pulses, flow profiles, arches, crushing, sorting, separation, etc.). Students will be acquainted with the rules of mathematical description, particulate matter properties and the processes initial laws. They will get acquainted with the basic digitization rules of the description of particulate matter properties and digitization of selected processes.
