Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The goal of the subject is to make students acquainted with the present trends in the mineral policies of the Czech Republic and the world as regards the surface mining. Attention is paid to the methods of the development and
exploitation of coal and ore deposits, deposits of construction raw aterials,
machinery and technologies used in the processes of mining, transport and
backfilling, underwater mining, block mining of raw materials, surface mine
drainage, accompanying processes, and last but not least, to removing the
impacts of surface mining upon the landscape environment.

Summary
Student se naučí klasifikovat základní typy organizačních struktur předmětu Dobývání ložisek a identifikovat jejich silné a slabé stránky. Cílem je definovat a reprodukovat fakta, interpretovat poznané informace v nových situacích a navzájem je srovnávat. Následně se studenti naučí analyzovat informace, vzájemně je propojovat, seřazovat dle důležitostí a využívat při experimentech a syntéze s cílem konkrétního doporučení.
