Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Purposes is in concurrence on gain knowledge in the area hydrogeologie application solving problems drainage down and wrecking crane situation.

Summary
Basic assessment of hydrodynamic structures in rock massif. Flow of
underground waters. Methods of determining of basic hydraulic properties of
rocks and soils. Hydrogeological systems and calculations. Hydrogeological
survey in pits, deep and underground mines, tunnels. Active and passive
protection against water. Design and calculation of safety dams. Pumps and
pumping stations in mines. Elimination of negative influences of pumping the
mine waters, environmental protection. Drainage of mines and quarries.

Subject syllabus:
1) Assessment basics geohydrodynamical structures and their importance for the classification of rock mass.
2) Groundwater flow in rocks, methods of determining basic hydraulic properties of rocks and soils.
3) Hydrogeological systems and their mode of water balance equation and its elements.
4) Hydrogeological survey and its tasks.
5) Hydrogeology is specifically focused on the issue of drainage pits, surface mines and underground mines, tunnels, etc.
6) Methods of active and passive protection against sudden inrushes water from aquifers in operating mines.
7) Requirements for mines works.
8) Static and dynamic design of dam structures.
9) Placement of pumps and pumping stations, mining operations in underground mines and quarries.
10) Environmental impacts of pumping ground water into streams and ways to eliminate the negative effects
11) Design drainage system at the quarries.
12) Drainage foreland folds, overburden cuts, cuts utility of raw materials, and dump.
