Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The goal is understanding the basic knowledge of geomechanics and geotechnical engineering, which are state of stress and deformation of rock bodies in terms of strength and plasticity.

Subject deals with stability as mine workings, as mine faces. Mine workings deformations are divided to slow and sudden one. Cause of slow deformations and possibilities of its influence. Characteristic of sudden mine workings deformations, measures of mine workings stability increasing during origin of anomalous geomechanical events.

Computational methods for the stability of mine workings The influence of objective and subjective parameters, static solutions Reinforcement and reinforcing the structure. Long work and mine work space Slow and sudden deformation of mines Causes of slow and sudden deformation Possibilities of their influence, Determination of measures to ensure the stability of mine works in the development of anomalous geomechanical phenomena Sizing reinforcement using mathematical modeling.
