Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The goal is understanding the basic knowledge of geomechanics and geotechnical engineering, which are
state of stress and deformation of rock bodies in terms of strength and plasticity.

Summary
Subject deals with stability as mine workings, as mine faces. Mine workings
deformations are divided to slow and sudden one. Cause of slow deformations
and possibilities of its influence. Characteristic of sudden mine workings
deformations, measures of mine workings stability increasing during origin of
anomalous geomechanical events.
