Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with mathematical and physical modeling. They are discusses the principles of computational methods of mathematical modeling, including practical modeling in medern software.

Summary

The course deals with mathematical and physical modeling. They are discussed especially the basics of computational methods of mathematical (numerical) modeling. Physical modeling is a photoelasticimetric method and a method of modeling with equivalent materials. Students are practically acquainted with mathematical modeling using the finite element method in modern software.
