Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the discipline dealing with chemical processes in the processing of raw materials and waste. Students will broaden their knowledge in the application of hydrometallurgical and pyrometallurgical processing methods. Acquired knowledge is the starting point for optimization, measurement and control of chemical processes and raw materials.

Summary
Integration of natural relations and application possibilities of technological processes of hydrometallurgical processing of ores, non-ore materials and wastes with the emphasis on theoretical principles of the processes, i.e. the study of theoretical basics of heterogeneous chemical reactions. The individual chapters more closely concentrate on the chemical preparatory processes (roasting, mechanochemical and mechanothermic activation, etc.), especially on the processes of leaching, leach refining and extraction of useful constituents from the solutions. Special emphasis is given to modern technologies and facilities that provide environment friendly and sustainable development.
