Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The course deals with the creation, complement and preservation of mining maps. Completion of the course students will gain the ability to read in mining maps and also to create ones.

Summary

The course deals with the creation, complementation and preservation of mining maps. Students work with novel CBU č. 435/1992 Sb. Course contains geodetical and carthographical basics of mining maps, geodetic controls, measuring works in creation of mining maps. After graduation students are able to orient in mining maps and create mining maps.

Lectures (courses): 1. Basic mine map. Its importance in terms of technical and legal. 2. Geodetic and cartographic basics of mine maps. Mining content of Basic mine plans. 3. Mining horizontal and vertical control. 4. The responsibility for keeping mining map documentation. Major mining surveyor, mining surveyor. 5. Language of mine maps. Map generalization and conventional signs. 6. Classification of mining maps and requirements for their evaluation. 7. Map index of mining maps. 8. Principles of preparation of Basic mine plan for underground mine. Scale of mining maps. 9. Principles of preparation of Basic mie plan on the surface. 10. Calculations in the preparation of Basic mine plan. 11. Map symbols, cuts, profiles. 12. Mining Area. Calculating areas and extents. Exercise: 1. Coordinate system used in mine surveying. Coordinate transformation. 2. Examples of designs of mine maps. 3. Creation of map index of Basic mine plan. Symbols. 4. The mining area. Its importance. Calculation of mining area surface. 5. Creation of part of Basic mine plan by measuring data. 6. Creation of profiles and sections. 7. Mining content of Basic mine plan. Classification of mine maps. 8. Classical and modern methods of production of mining maps. 9. Mapping of the ore blocks - their geometry and mineralization. 10. Construction axonometric maps. 11. Surveying work involved in preparation of Basic mine plan.
