The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the principles of selected map projection and the types of maps used for tourism purposes (CR). Students are engaged in practical exercises to work with the map.

Subject syllabus:

Lectures: 1. Reference areas, geoid, reference ellipsoids. 2. scale calculations. 3. Sentencing coordinates. 4. geographic coordinates. 5. Coordinate system S-JTSK, S-42, WGS-84. Cadastral coordinate system. 6. Vertical system (Adriatic, BPV). 7. Reference curve. 8. Azimuth. Magnetic declination. 9. Cadastre 10. The basic elements of maps. 11. Types of maps on the territory of the Czech Republic. 12. Maps of the territorial units of administrative division maps, thematic maps state. 13. Contour 14. Basic parameters of contours. 15. Calculation of the gradient field (%, ‰). Exercise: 1. Coordinates. 2. Calculating the distance from the Cartesian coordinates. 3. Basic calculations scales. 4. Interpolation (comparison line). 5. Construction of contour plan. 6. Construction of the longitudinal profile of the route. 7. Construction of cross sections routes. 8. Construction of a composite profile of hiking trails. 9. Construction of the route. 10. Calculation of the gradient field (%, ‰). 11. Determination of azimuth and orientation maps in the field. 12. Practical work with a topographic map. 13. Map and its content elements. 14. Magnetic device, compass. 15. Orientation map.
