Course deals with couses of surface movement due to undermining and possibilities of protection of surface and mining objects.

The subject represents special applications of geodetical and other methods by
measurement of physical objects movements and deformatinon with a view to
necessary precision of measurement.

Subject syllabus:
Lectures:
1. Introduction to measurement theory of movements and deformations.
2. Allocation of unstable area and deformations in them.
3. Monitoring stations to measure in areas of subsidence.
4. Measuring of vertical movements.Determining heights by geometric leveling, hydrostatic leveling, trigonometrical leveling.
5. Methods for determining horizontal movements. Measuring with ordinatometer, oriented distance, polygon method, trigonometrical method.
6. Methods for determining space movements. Photogrammetry method, GNSS method.
7. Methods for determining the tilt, curvature and horizontal strain.
8. Time interval of movements measurements and deformations with respect to the dynamics of
movements and deformations.
9. Monitoring station project to measure movements and deformations on unstable
subsoil.
Exercise:
1. Entering the measured results of the observation station for processing.
2. Determination heights of monitoring station points by precise leveling.
3. Processing - determine accuracy.
4. Locating points on a surveying line by ordinatometer.
5. Processing - determine accuracy.
6. Determination of the 3D coordinates of points on a surveying line by Total Station
7. Processing - determine accuracy.
8. Measurement of verticality of the column with two methods.
9. Project monitoring station according to set extraction parameters.
