Students will acquire a generally valid methodology for systems analysis and design, acquired theoretical knowledge will be able to apply in practice the design of specific information systems.

Summary

The course introduces the general methodologies used for analyzing and designing the system, analyzes in detail the basic stages of the life cycle of an information system, analyzes the critical factors and possible errors which can be used to develop the system happen.

1. Definition of IS, basic terms, categories of IS 2. Implementation of IS, feasibility studies, acquisition methods, ROI 3. Types of IS development methodologies - classical and agile, trends in the development of methodologies, principles of methodologies. 4. Analysis - methods of analysis, exact and empirical methods, multi-criteria analysis 5. Analysis of requirements 6. Analysis of Risk, Security Policy 7. Detailed system analysis, model of systems and databases, functional specifications, prototyping, wireframe models 8. Structural Analysis and Design 9. Object analysis and system design, UML 10. Software Architecture 11. Testing and deployment of IS - meaning and purpose, types of tests, the testing process stages, modes of operation 12. Management of IT projects, management team 13. Management of IT / ICT, ITIL and COBIT, ISO norms 14. IS documentation, software licenses, copyright.
