Summary

The course provides an overview of automatic identification technologies and their practical applications. Students will learn to distinguish between barcodes, RFID, NFC, and biometric systems, analyze their characteristics, and compare their advantages and limitations. Emphasis is placed on data collection and processing, security aspects including GDPR, and standards in the field of identification systems. Students will become familiar with the integration of these technologies into information systems and industrial processes, including their use in IoT and real-time location systems (RTLS). Upon completing the course, students will be able to effectively design and implement identification systems in logistics, industry, and other sectors, adapt them to security requirements, and keep up with new trends in automatic identification.
