The aim of the course is to present an overview of the work in the areas of basic principles of operating systems, so that the students are able to use the basic functionality of specific operating systems.

Cílem předmětu je předložit přehled v oblastech základních pojmů a principů. Tématické okruhy: Procesy, Přidělování paměti, Management procesů, Komunikace, Přidělování CPU, Víceprocesorové systémy, Synchronizace procesů, Deadlock, Systém souborů, Implementace systému souborů, Struktura odkládacího zařízení, Síťová podpora operačního systému, Grafické uživatelské rozhraní.
