Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Goal is to familiarize students with the principles of cybernetics and its applications in the processes of raw material industry. Students will learn the basic principles of automatic control and use of controllers, learn about the structure control systems and software. Furthermore, familiar with means for automatic control and acquire knowledge of methods of obtaining information from the process.

Summary

This subject provides basis knowledge of technical cybernetics and it's application in the area of raw materials industry. Students can study basic principles of automatic control systems, the structure of computers and its software. Next they meet instruments for automatic control. Subject provides methods of information collecting from technologic process, principles of measurement circuit construction, equipment for information transmitting, and technological process operating.

Subject syllabus:

1. Základy automatického řízení - systém, teorie systémů, řízení, logické řízení a obvody 2. Základy automatické regulace - regulační obvod, dynamické vlastnosti prvků RO 3. Základní principy převodníků a zesilovačů – A/D převodník, operační zesilovač atd. 4. Měření neelektrických veličin – principy snímačů, vlastnosti 5. Měření technologických parametrů – poloha, výchylka, rychlost, deformace, síla 6. Měření technologických parametrů - hladina, průtok, hmotnost, teplota, tlak 7. Číslicové počítače – základní hardwarové prvky a jejich funkce 8. Softwarové prostředky počítačů - rozdělení SW, operační systémy, aplikační SW 9. Počítačové sítě – LAN, WAN, Internet, připojení, prvky sítí 10. Distribuované systémy – průmyslové sítě a standardy, hierarchie řízení 11. Programovatelné automaty – využití, programování automatů 12. Monitorovací a informační systémy - základní struktury a pojmy 13. Vizualizační systémy – SCADA, FactorySuite, Promotic, aplikace 14. Využití optimalizace v průmyslu - základní pojmy a význam
