Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the subject is to present students to the industrial company, its financial decisions and the optimal financial structure. There are also described specifications of industrial and financial markets, their effects on corporate finances, sources and forms of short-term financing, working capital and its finance and the valuation of the industrial enterprises.

Summary

Students will be introduced to the basic concepts of a raw material industry, corporate finances and financial company decisions. There will be also discussed the financial analysis of business, its profitability, debt and liquidity and various intergration business forms and their financial aspects.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Regular feedback on the progress of knowledge during the current term is provided by seminar works, presentations and written/oral exams.

Effects of financial and industrial markets and corporate finances 5. Financial aspects of starting a business 6. Types of industrial companies and their characteristics 7. Stock company - the establishment, stock, dividend policy 8. Optimal financial structure 9. Debt ratio and its indicators 10. Financial analysis of business - analysis of profitability, debt, liquidity 11. Sources and forms of short-term financing 12. Working capital and its finance 13. Valuation of the enterprise as a whole 14. Intergration business forms and their financial aspects
