Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The course introduces the basic problems of automation in terms of technical solutions. It builds on the basic knowledge of electrical engineering physics, expanding practical knowledge of basic circuits, components and circuits. It familiarizes students with the basic theoretical background of the design and construction of automation equipment. Describes the individual elements of the control system, means for obtaining information processing and control

Subject syllabus:
1. Basic laws of electronics, Ohm's law, the law Kirhoffov
2. Two-ports and a second electronic circuit design,
3. Basic transients in power. circuits.
4. The semiconductor PN junction, diode, spec. diodes. Basic relationships characteristics.
5. Optoelectronic components. Switching and spec. semiconductor elements.
6. Bipolar transistors, basic properties., H parameters, characteristics of the circuit.
7. Field effect transistors. parameters, characteristics
8. Operational amplifier, properties, basic connections, applications.
9. Measurement of electrical quantities
10. Measurement of non-electrical values, principles of sensors.
11. Measurement of non-electrical quantities. Methods.
12. Transfer of data, evaluation, control and signaling.
13. Actuators, drives
14. Basic control circuits.
