Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The subject acquaints students with the basics of multimedia systems, image processing, audio and video processing on the computer. Students will learn about themes including 3D work, creating them, handling depth sensor for scanning. They will also learn about the basics of expanded reality and its practical use. The subject matter will be focused on virtual reality systems with the possibility of their use for presentation and dissemination of information across technical disciplines.

Summary

Vzhledem k významu prezentací v systému řízení, předmět seznámí posluchače se základy multimediálních systémů, zpracováním obrazu, zvuku a videa na počítači. Studenti se dále seznámí s tématy zahrnující práci s 3D objekty, jejich vytváření, zacházení s hloubkovým senzorem pro jejich skenování. Seznámí se rovněž se základy rozšířené reality a jejím praktickým využitím. Probíraná látka bude zaměřena i na systémy virtuální reality s možností jejich využití pro potřeby prezentace a distribuce informací napříč technickými obory.

Other requirements

Students prepare individually term paper, which must be in the context of completion of the course to defend. The examination is based on the submitted semestral work and knowledge on the exercises. Detailed conditions will be sent to students either by e-mail or directly delivered to the exercises. Students can consult with the teacher, either by e-mail or in person. On the basis of the evaluation of the given seminar work, a credit is given to the teacher by the supervisor. For Students of Combined Study Mode, the study and examination rules and their rights and duties apply in full. Basic study support will be given to the students in the lecture, students of the combined form of study will also follow obligatory and recommended literature.

Syllabus of the course: 1. Technical means for the presentation of information 2. Fundamentals of Multimedia Systems, History, Multimedia Processing Facilities 3. Image processing, image formats, image processing software, image digitization 4. Audio processing, audio formats, SW for sound processing, audio digitization 5. Video processing, video formats, video editing software, video digitization 6. Creating multimedia presentations 7. Interactive graphics and its creation 8. Presentation of data in project management systems and community servers 9. Scan a 3D object using a depth sensor 10. Environment for creating 3D worlds 11. 3D space, body models, surfaces, basic body operations 12. Presentation of data using extended reality 13. Presentation of data using virtual reality 14. Systems for collecting and presenting data from production and logistics systems
