Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the possibilities of single-chip processor, single-board computers and some PLCs. Furthermore, the emphasis is on the description of input / output pins and also to describe the type of serial communication interfaces. The course introduces the basic of programming options of these systems too.

The course introduces students to the problems of automation in terms of the control computing. It focuses on the function analysis and architecture control computers. In terms of practical application then analyzes processors and microprocessors used in computers and automatic control, their function and programming options. Further discussing the interfaces of computers and the basics of low-level programming.
