Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the subject is to present students to the mining company, its financial decisions and the optimal financial structure. There are also described specifications of industrial and financial markets, their effects on corporate finances, sources and forms of short-term financing, working capital and its finance and the valuation of mining and industrial enterprises.

Summary

Students will be introduced to the basic concepts of financial company decision and corporate finances. There will be also discussed the financial analysis of business, its profitability, debt and liquidity and various intergration business forms and their financial aspects.

1. Characteristics of mining company and corporate finances 2. Life phases of company, its goals and functions 3. Types of industrial companies and their characteristics 4. Financial company decisions - short and long 5. Effects of financial and industrial markets and corporate finances 6. Optimal financial structure, debt ratio and its indicators 7. Financial analysis of business - analysis of profitability, liquidity 8. Organization srtucture of a mining company 9. Personal income taxes, tax of property, value added tax 10. Stock company - the establishment, stock, dividend policy 11. Working capital and its finance 12. Valuation of the enterprise as a whole 13. State revenues from mining companies 14. Intergration business forms and their financial aspects
