Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the course is to acquaint management students with the basics of contemporary industrial technology, automation devices, sensors, actuators, control elements, means of visualization, the possibilities of communication and distribution of individual components, the problems associated with the fourth industrial revolution. Students will subsequently be able to describe the issue, as well as be able to implement simple systems falling into the field of process automation and industry in general.

Summary

The course reflects the requirements of practice for teaching managers with basic technical skills, able to manage teams of workers who will design and implement production digitized and intelligent factories and workplaces using the procedures and technologies of the fourth industrial revolution. Graduates of the course will gain a basic overview of the trends of modern industry, technologies used and procedures applicable in the field of raw materials industry.
