The student clarifies the issues of raw materials policy of the state and understands them in the context of its economy. The student describes the process of acquisition and distinguishes its individual phases. The student economically evaluates minerals.

Summary

The course deals with a summary of activities by which the state influences the search for and use of domestic sources of raw materials, including secondary raw materials, their economical and rational use and acquisition of raw materials abroad in order to ensure the operation of the economy. The course deals with the raw material base of the Czech Republic for mineral deposits. Attention is paid to the process of raw material acquisition and economic evaluation of mineral deposits.

Subject syllabus:

1 Introduction to mineral economics and the structure of the mineral economics. 2 Exploitation of the mineral deposits and mineral economics, fundamentals legislation of the exploitation of the minetral deposits. 3 Goals and strategy of the exploitation of the mineral deposits, forms of the economic assessment mineral deposits. 4 Derivation of a economicallly mineable reserves of the mineral deposits. 5 Analysis and investment assessment. 6 Investment analysis and exploitation of the minerál deposits. 7 Basic characteristic and goals of the pricing mining company property. 8 Raw material base of the state as a starting point determining its mineral policy. 9 Mineral markets and their participants and organization. 10 Mineral pricing and influences on supply of the raw materials. 11 Fundamental principles of the mineral policy. 12 International organizations and the mineral policy. 13 Energy policy and energy security of the state.

Conditions for subject completion and attendance at the exercises within ISP: Successful granting of a credit - recorded semester credit project at LMS in the range of 10-15 pages of the discussed issues (max. 20 points) and evaluated activities at seminars in the form of tasks awarded max. 10 points. The exam is written consisting of 10 questions randomly generated on the LMS, for which it is possible to get max. 70 points and at least 34 points for successful completion.
