Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the course is to acquaint with the means of automatic identification with a special focus on RFID technology. Topics related to SMART sensors and the Internet of Things will also be discussed. Students will also learn about the application potential of augmented and virtual reality across the full spectrum of human activities. Students will get acquainted with the basic concepts associated with these technologies, systems for creating their content and in the practical part of the course will create their own applications. In this course, students will be introduced to practical and useful applications and the role of augmented and virtual reality as a human / machine interface in the emerging trends of Industry 4.0.

Summary

The course acquaints students with the issue of automatic identification tools with a special focus on RFID technology. Due attention will be paid to augmented and virtual reality, which is now becoming the standard in many areas of human activity, including logistics and transport. In the practical part of the course, they will try to work with SMART sensors and their use in logistics processes.
