Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Student shows knowledge: of basic concepts and definitions of the EU, of the importance,understanding and of the effects of the economic integration of the EU/EC, of microeconomic tools for the analysis of integration process of the EU/EC Student can: describe historical stages of development: towards to the creation of the European Union, describe policies, institutional development, legal instruments and the decision-making processes of the EU/EC, Student is able to: use microeconomic tools for the analysis of the economic integration of the EU/EC

Summary

Subject is concerned with integration of European Union. Students obtain theoretical and expert knowledge in the field of history, economics, policies and institutions of EU and of essentials of European law as well. They learn to use fundamental microeconomic instruments for analysis of economic integration.

1) Historical events leading to the establishment of the EU/EC 2) Institutional development, law and budget of EU/EC 3) Decision making process in EU/EC 4) Classification and characteristics of the EU/EC 5) Fundamental microeconomic instruments for the analysis of European economic integration 6) Economical integration of EU/EC: Establishing Single European Market 7) Development of monetary integration of EU/EC 8) Monetary policy in EU 9) Fiscal policy in EU and Pact of Stability 10) Regional and Structural policy in EU 11) Energy and Ecological policy in EU 12) Agricultural policy in EU/EC 13) Commercial policy in EU/EC 14) Transport policy and Transeuropean networks
