To gain theoretical knowledge of micro and makroeconomics, to understand main principles of market economy and travel trade.

Summary

The aim of the course is to make students acquainted with market mechanism basic concepts (factors of profuction, market subjects, competition, supply and demand, market price) and also with basic of business economics (definition of company, its targets, functions, living stages, main activities, results). The last part of the course is dedicated a broad issue of a tourism (travel market, subjects and products in tourism, its marketing and management, new travel trends in the Czech Republic).

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Regular feedback on the progress of knowledge during the current term is provided by semester projects and MS Power Point presentations.
