Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students will learn to organize, summarize, and describe the fundamental principles of systems thinking. They will gain the ability to identify and classify different types of systems, understand their dynamic behavior, and apply basic methods of system analysis. Students will be able to analyze regulation and stability in dynamic systems and synthesize models for system control in practice. They will learn to assess the effectiveness of various control methods and recommend optimal strategies based on the results of analysis and simulations.

Summary

The course provides an overview of systems thinking and control theories. Students will learn to identify and classify different types of systems, analyze their dynamic behavior, and apply methods of systems analysis. They will gain skills in modeling, simulation, and regulation of dynamic systems with an emphasis on their stability and optimization. Emphasis is placed on automatic control, adaptive systems, and decision-making processes. Students will be able to design and evaluate control strategies in industrial, transportation, and energy applications. Graduates will acquire analytical approaches for the effective management of complex systems and the optimization of their performance.
