Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Student shows knowledge: of the importance of basic concepts and definitions of enterprise informatics, of fundamentals of database systems and basic applications in the enterprise informatics, of fundamentals of management, of effectiveness assessment and of safety of enterprise information systems Student can: describe the individual applications in the enterprise informatics Student is able to: transfer number systems and encode numbers create a simple applications in MS ACCESS database system

Summary

Subject is concerned with applications in business informatics, with management, evaluation of effectiveness and safety of information systems and ICT. It presents fundamental terms and definitions used in informatics. From practical point of view subject is focused on use of numerical systems and creation of simple applications in database system of MS ACCESS.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Regular feedback on the progress of knowledge during the current term is provided by presentation of semester project, knowledge checks and written exam.

Pro komunikaci nad rámec prezenčně realizovaných soustředění je používán learning management systém Moodle (lms.vsb.cz), prostřednictvím kterého je umožněna komunikace nejen mezi vyučujícími a studenty, ale také mezi studenty navzájem.

Subject syllabus:

1. Basic terms and definitions of the informatics 2. Numeral systems, their conversions and coding 3. Basic components and classification of the computers 4. Classification of software 5. Database systems 6. SQL and its application of database management 7. Specification of enterprise informatics in the industry and its life cycle 8. Infrastructural applications in the enterprise 9. Enterprise resource planning 10. Applications of the external relationships management 11. Applications of the business intelligence in the informatics of the enterprise 12. Management of the informatics in the enterprise 13. Effectiveness of the information systems in the enterprise 14. Safety of the information systems and of the communication technologies in the enterprise.
