This course will introduce you to manufacturing automation. We will be explaining hardware, software and principles of making and using manufacturing automation. Moreover will be explained introduction to building applications in this productions.

Summary

The course provides knowledge of the areas of the design and operation of monitoring and control systems and information technologies (MRS / IT). Students will become familiar with the general architecture of monitoring and control systems at all levels of management both in hardware and the software part. The practical part is focused on the analysis of architecture, design and development from the perspective of applicability-ment advanced MRS / IT.

Subject syllabus:

Introduction to monitoring and control systems (MCS) (definition, classification systems, management pyramid, working with information, historical perspective, ...) MCS Distribution (types and comparison of MCS, customer relationship management, ...) Architecture MCS (MCS basic hierarchy, the main characteristics of the MCS, examples from practice) MCS hardware (basic concepts, compact programmable controllers, modular programmable controllers, integrated controllers, distributed control systems) Software equipment MCS (clarification of terminology, introduction to the topic, showing examples of SCADA systems and InTouch, Reliance and Promotic systems) MCS of transport materials and water management. Software and Computer Security (system, application and user programs, viruses, computer security, megatrends ...) Copyright Act, software licenses, software usage rules (copyright, author's work, make copies, license agreement, software license, free software, non-free software, MS EULA, an overview of licensing, software audit, management, ...) Problems of modern platforms protection (safety aspect, encryption) The issue of speed of information, distributed computing and P2P networks. Internet yesterday, today and tomorrow, the Internet of things - trends and future computer technology. Summary and completion of problem areas and put into perspective in a higher overall hierarchical structure.
